Diagnostic tests

Uncovering underlying issues with your pet's health

What is a diagnostic test?

Diagnostic tests can offer a deeper look into what’s going on in your pet’s body in order to identify the appropriate course of treatment. Our diagnostic services include x-rays, ultrasound, in-house and off site lab services.

When should I bring my pet in for a diagnostic test?

Our veterinarians have an extensive background in evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of internal medicine conditions in dogs and cats. You might come in for urgent care or a sick visit if you notice any of the following in your pet:

  • Bite wounds
  • Worms, fleas, ticks, or mites
  • Urinating blood
  • Urinary changes
  • Toxin ingestion
  • Your pet ate a foreign body (toy, rawhide, etc.)
  • Diarrhea or vomiting
  • Itchy skin or rashes
  • Pain or limping
  • Changes in behavior
  • Loss of appetite or overeating
  • Cuts or abrasions
  • Eye issues (tearing, redness, discharge)
  • Ear infections
  • Runny nose, coughing, or sneezing
  • Scooting
  • Hair loss
